The natural pools and waterfalls di a Madre are among the most beautiful jewels of our territory. This set of small waterfalls and natural pools carved into the rock in the heart of the Aïtone forest, amazes with its translucent emerald green waters.

The Aïtone waterfalls are a set of small waterfalls and natural pools dug into the rock, surrounded by trees, which give the whole area this pretty emerald green color.

The water is strikingly clear and its emerald color. Although very cool and invigorating (rarely above 12°C in summer), the bravest swimmers will do a few breaststrokes, while the more cautious will only dip their feet in it. It is a place conducive to meditation and a return to nature when you venture there outside the summer season.

Access

• From the village of Evisa: departure near the bars in the center of the village. You must then follow the path of the Chestnut grove to the D 84. This path is dotted with information panels on the cultivation of chestnuts. Then, continue your walk on a forest path that leads to the Aïtone waterfalls. It is then the opportunity to do a small easy marked hike, lasting 2h30 round trip, with a drop of 250 m.
• From the D84 towards Corte: 1.5 km after Evisa. This access makes it possible to shorten the hike. The walk is then only one hour in total round trip.
