Easy and varied hike: views from south to north, alternating between covered and open areas, the Tower and its rocky surroundings form a unique and very photogenic ensemble
To start the trail, you need to go to the roundabout at the entrance to Cargèse, take the road towards Peru beach and park in its car park (very beautiful sandy beach), then walk back on your left along a street that ends in a dead end, stairs indicate the start of your hike. Don't forget to bring sun protection, there is no water point on this hike, and it is very hot in summer.
Good hiking shoes for the few stony passages and you're off, there are no markings but the path is well marked, well maintained and very accessible, with its stone walls and multiple barriers. You will enjoy a walk along the coastline with a view of the sea and its wild coasts. Intoxicate yourself with the smells of the maquis and after an hour the tower appears; it is in perfect condition and accessible up to its platform. The view over the bay of Cargèse is magnificent, the return is by the same path as on the way there.
